Preparing for Your Visit

Thank you for choosing Knoxville Medical Group for your healthcare needs. Our desire is that you are able to live life with good health and happiness. We work extremely hard to partner with patients each day to provide this experience. We are pleased to be part of your personal healthcare team.

Make an Appointment

To request an appointment, call us at (865) 630-4302.  Monday-Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. Please call at least 24 hours in advance for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

Patient Registration

On your first visit, you will be asked to fill out registration forms. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork. Completing the forms prior to your visit will help speed up the new patient registration process.

Patient Reminders

We ask that you please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. Please bring the following items:

  • Your current health insurance information – to ensure accurate and appropriate billing of your health care services.
  • Your current Photo ID
  • Any medications you are currently taking in their original containers, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, herbals, and supplements/vitamins.

Cancellation Policy

When you schedule an appointment, we block a provider’s time for you and therefore cannot schedule other patients at that time. We must efficiently schedule our providers to be able to provide services to you at a reasonable cost. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment for any reason. Should you cancel and fail to give us proper advance notice on the second occasion, we reserve the right to charge a $25 No-show fee.

Insurance

Knoxville Medical Group participates with Medicare and most major HMO and PPO insurance plans. As a courtesy, we will file all claims with your insurance company. If you have questions regarding your insurance coverage, please call us at, (865)630-4302. If your insurance coverage includes co-pays we will request payment of these at the time of your visit, as well as any outstanding balances. Be sure to contact us if your insurance coverage changes in any way.
Knoxville Medical Group also offers there own direct primary care membership. Customers who opt for this coverage will only be covered through outpatient settings at Knoxville Medical Group. No outside coverage or hospital coverage will be available with this plan. However, we do outsource hospital coverage to another company and will gladly give you their information. The hospital plans are inexpensive and are taken by all local hospitals.  Please inquire at, (865) 630-4302.

Knoxville Medical Group also has a discounted CASH payment plan for those patients who do not have insurance. We want to make healthcare affordable for all.  Please inquire at, (865) 630-4302.
